Danny de Jong (1962) is a Dutch photographer who lives and works in Amsterdam. He went to the Academy for Photography in Haarlem, the Netherlands and worked for several commercial photographers after his study. In 1995 he founded his own studio and started to work for advertising agencies and magazines. His current studio is based in an old shipyard in the harbour area of Amsterdam. His work is often described as melancholic and poetic. The island Tenerife is a place where he loves to come. It’s beautiful nature is a great source of inspiration for new work. In 2013 and 2014 he had two big exhibitions on Tenerife.
